About ‘A Picture in Words’
A thousand words and then some.
A Picture in Words started as a lark on J.R. Blackwell’s Flickr stream. I liked using a story to make people see deeper into a photograph. For awhile, it stayed on Flickr.
Eventually, I began shooting photos more regularly, both for fun and to further develop skills useful to my day job. Even more eventually, I needed a place to put them.
I posted the first entry in August 2009. Then, like all good bloggers, I lapsed for several months. I moved to Los Angeles in January 2010, and started it again.
Now I post photos and stories (or essays) semi-regularly. Sometimes I even collaborate.
FOR BEST RESULTS: take a few moments to look at the picture. Figure out what’s happening in it for you. Then read the story.
WHO AM I?
I’m a film director based out of Los Angeles. I also post at another, more obviously-named website.
I have email.
