I went to Griffith Park today to shoot photos and relax. But I think, deep down, I wanted to be clever.

I think one of the great accomplishments in life is learning to recognize when you are trying to be clever, and greater still is to be able to stop in time.

Pictured here is an example of one not so lucky.

I can hear the pitch to the arts grant council: “You see? It’s the conflict of natural versus the unnatural. Man versus the Proto-Womb. This rusted-out tin in the woods is emblematic of our place IN THE UNIVERSE!
